I have several interests in the field of ichthyology which include but are not limited to the morphology, ecology, and taxonomy of fishes. For my master’s thesis, I am studying the trophic ecology and functional morphology of scaleless black dragonfishes (Family Stomiidae; Subfamily Melanostomiinae). I will be examining several morphometric characteristics of the head of dragonfishes and conducting a gut content analysis to establish prey composition. This two-part project aims to determine if there is any relationship between melanostomiine prey composition and feeding morphology.
